Representative engagements
Over the past decade, we have helped our clients to overcome the complexities and risks of doing business in this part of the world. By identifying unforeseen problems and providing focused solutions, IRIS delivers invaluable results despite the nature of the risk. Investigations
Led and advised a firm who fell victim to a multi-million dollar fraudulent transfer, which ended up in a Ukrainian bank. After our investigations revealed the mechanism of the transfer and the involvement of
corrupt government officials and organized crime, our professional, strategic advice aided the client to retrieve all the misdirected funds. IRIS anti-fraud engagements have reduced potential losses and recovered misappropriated assets in many other instances, including more than a dozen successful investigations of life insurance fraud involving several million dollars.
Corporate intelligence
In the aftermath of the economic crisis in August of 1998, we performed an in-depth analysis of the operations of various foodstuff manufacturers to allow our client to remain competitive by implementing similar changes in its business. We reported on distribution, pricing, human resource policy, salaries, and business plans for production capacity and restructuring.
Security management
IRIS was retained to assist the $200+ million greenfield construction and manufacturing expansion effort of a Western multinational into various Russian regions by assessing and managing the economic, political, criminal and security risks to operations, employees, assets and information.
Crisis prevention & management
Developed and implemented a long-term crisis management plan for a Western-owned industrial facility threatened repeatedly by organized criminals. The security enhancements not only thwarted extortion attempts, but also reduced internal thefts by employees.
Business support services
Assisted several multinational companies to establish, staff and train in-house security and intelligence departments after performing security audits and needs assessments of their operations.
Retained by an original member of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium to perform a wide variety of functions ranging from business facilitation to executive protection.
